Why Stapelstein and no alternative version?
Sustainability
Stapelstein stones are made from the relatively sustainable EPP. The production of this type of plastic has a relatively low energy consumption. In addition, this material is 1-to-1 recyclable and contains no harmful substances. Despite this, it remains a plastic, and Stapelstein wanted to do more to avoid further burdening the earth with plastic. Since 2023, Stapelstein has supported the company WasteReduction. For every 10 kg of plastic that Stapelstein sells through its products, 3 kg of plastic is cleaned up from nature thanks to WasteReduction. For the remaining 7 kg, WasteReduction implements improvements to waste management and builds recycling facilities in locations where a lot of plastic waste enters the environment unchecked. Furthermore, €1 for every 10 kg goes to an educational program for German and Austrian children to make them aware of the consequences of plastic waste.

Children's Privacy
Unique in the world of children's toys, Stapelstein does not use children's faces in their advertising material. They deliberately choose close-up photos, silhouettes, and back views.
