Reuseable cloth wipes
Cloth wipes are an eco-friendly alternative to disposable wipes. They are available in several different materials, dimensions and prints. They are not only suitable to wipe bottoms with, but can also be used to wipe clean your child’s mouth or to remove your make-up with. To use them as a bottoms wipe you can wet them with some water or with a combination of water, baby oil and a few drops of essential oils.
How many cloth wipes do I need?
On average, you will use around 10 cloth wipes per day. Of course, this depends on the number of times you change your baby and the number of poop diapers. For pee diapers, one cloth wipes is enough, for poop diapers, you will use 2 to 5 cloth wipes. If you wash the cloth wipes together with the cloth diapers and you wash those twice a week, you will need around 35 cloth wipes. Cloth wipes dry quickly and you can already use them when they are still damp from washing. If you want to play it safe and/or if you sometimes wash a day later than you normally would, we recommend 50 cloth wipes. If your child does not poop in his/her diaper more than once a day and you do laundry on time, you can get by with 25 cloth wipes.
Our brands
Alvababy
Alvababy makes 2-layered cloth wipes. The printed side is made of smooth cotton, the ecru backside is made of somewhat rougher bamboo. The wipes measure 20 by 20 cm and are sold in six-packs with all different prints.
Anavy
The cloth wipes by Anavy are made of bamboo or cotton and have a printed side and a white backside. They are rectangular and come in packs of 4.
Blümchen
The wipes by Blümchen are made of 100% organic cotton or a mix of bamboo/cotton. They are square and are being sold in 10-packs.
Buttons
The wipes by Buttons are made of 100% cotton. They are square and are being sold in 15-packs.
Cloth Bums
Cloth Bums has nice square bamboo cloth wipes and very nice storage boxes. The boxes are available in black and white, with a handy opening to pull out the wipes one by one. The boxes and wipes are sold separately.
Cheeky Wipes
The wipes by Cheeky Wipes are available in a bamboo and a cotton version. The cotton version is made of 100% cotton, the bamboo version is made of 70% bamboo and 30% cotton. Cheeky Wipes also makes boxes to keep them in, essential oils to use on the wipes and complete sets with all of that included.
Elskbar
Elskbar cloth wipes are square and made of two layers of bamboo. The hems have the classic Elskbar colors and they are sold in 8-packs.
Hu-Da
Hu-Da has two different types of baby wipes. A white version of velor fabric and a bamboo mix version with a tricot print side.
LastTissue
The wipes from LastTissue are very thin and made of cotton. They are 18x18 cm and can be easily pulled out the silicone storage box. The boxes are available in different colours.
Little Lamb
The bamboo wipes by Little Lamb are made of 100% bamboo and are sold in packs of 10.
Petit Lulu
The wipes by Petit Lulu are made of bamboo and organic cotton and are available in several prints. They are rectangular and are being sold separately.
