Wooden Play Boxes

Wooden play boxes and sorting boxes for playing with loose parts, collecting items, or engaging in sensory activities with play rice, corn, or sand!

Wooden play box and wooden sorting box

Wooden play boxes are incredibly functional. By using a play box, you set boundaries for your child's play. This is educational for your child, but also practical for you. It limits the mess and makes it easy to put the play away for a moment and pick it up again later. Children learn to play with care and respect when they have to stay within the edges of the box. This requires a very different kind of play and control than when children have a boundless space at their disposal. The latter is, of course, also very nice for a while. It is best to alternate play with a play box with more unbounded play.

You can fill a wooden play box with all kinds of sensory toys. Think of play rice, regular sand or kinetic sand, split peas, corn, or clay, for example. Children can also fill the bin themselves with items they have found outside, such as twigs, leaves, stones, and other interesting stuff.

Wooden Sorting Bins

We have various types of play boxes and sorting boxess in our assortment, including those from Grapat and Alexander Toys. We have open play bins that give you maximum space to play freely inside the box, but we also have sorting tray that you can use for tidying up or sorting. Additionally, there are play boxes with or without a lid. The play boxes with lids are great for tidying up and stay dust-free. However, you cannot build too high without your creations coming into contact with the lid. And finally, there are of course differences in sizes. We have large and small boxes, something for everyone.

Round Wooden Trays

In addition to play boxes and sorting boxes, we also sell round trays. For example, the base platform from Grapat. These beautiful round wooden trays from Grapat help children limit their play to the surface area of the platform. Children can build a structure on it or place something beautiful using various materials. Another advantage of a Grapat base plate is that you can also put a finished piece away for a while. The platforms have no raised edges.
