Wooden Play Box

This wooden play tray is not only beautifully designed, but also very practical! The box is 7 cm deep, so spills are unlikely. The four elements of nature—earth, air, fire, and water—are depicted on the bottom. By using a play tray, you set boundaries for your child's play. This is educational for the child, but also practical for you. It limits the mess and makes it easy to put the game away for a moment and pick it up again later. Children learn to play with care and respect when they have to stay within the edges of the box. This requires a very different kind of play and control than when children have a boundless space at their disposal.

The printed elements on the bottom of the wooden box can, of course, also be used in play. For example, for sorting.

Naturally, this wooden play box from Grapat is also very suitable for use in all kinds of sensory play. It can be filled with sand, kinetic sand, rice, corn, and much more.

Maintenance

Grapat wooden toys are best stored in a dark and cool place. If they become dirty, they can be wiped with a damp cloth. Be sure to dry them thoroughly immediately afterwards. Do not place the wooden parts in water and do not use disinfectants.

Wood is the absolute favorite for the designers and makers of Grapat. Wood is warm and alive and can take a beating. Moreover, the imperfection of a piece of wood makes every toy unique, just as we humans are all unique. The wood comes from sustainably managed forests with PEFC 14-35-00485 certification.

The colored products are hand-painted using natural, non-toxic dyes. Colors may vary slightly from product to product. After painting, the products are finished with wax and vegetable oils. Unpainted wooden products also receive a wax or oil coating. Generally, everything is made from a single piece of wood. In the rare case that two parts are glued together, this is done using 100% formaldehyde-free glue.

All Grapat packaging material is 100% plastic-free. Most toys come in sturdy cardboard boxes designed to last for about five years. They are part of the toy!

Some products also include a cotton bag. This bag is made of GOTS-certified organic cotton.
