Comfortable alternative to a cup
about Saalt Menstrual Disc

It is easier to use than expected. I switched from a cup to this disc. Used it for 1 period now. Some problems with leaking and also emptying is not yet without spilling, but it is very comfortable.
Satisfied

Used a cup for 9 years. Wanted to switch to a disc. Chose this one partly because of the positive reviews. Now used 1 period. Did not leak! Insertion seemed difficult but went fine.
Watched some instructions beforehand though.
Captures a lot, didn't have to empty as often as the cup.
The only drawback is that I couldn't take it out without spilling.

I was looking for an alternative to tampons and absolutely did not want to use panty liners. I had already tried the menstrual cup, but I didn't like it: I kept leaking anyway and I found the material too stiff. After some research into the best menstrual disc, I ended up with the Saalt Menstrual Disc.
At first I was afraid that removing it would be difficult, but thanks to the handy notch, it is actually very easy. What I also like is that the disc is flexible: it is easy to insert and you can also wear it for longer periods.
I am really very satisfied

Since giving birth, the menstrual cup is no longer leak-proof on me, so I started looking for a good alternative. This is how I ended up with the menstrual disc. I chose this Saalt menstrual disc and with it I indeed have a leak-free menstruation again.
Advantages:
- Does not feel it sitting.
- No leakage.
- Can be worn for a long time.
- Can be combined with coil.
- Easy to insert.
Disadvantages:
- With high cervix and tilted uterus difficult to remove.
- Rotten mess on removal.
Good for low cervix

Always used a cup but got leakage. First disc was way too big (bamboozy) therefore ordered this one. I turned out to have a low cervix. Works great! No leakage and lots of comfort.
Worthwhile.

I have been using a menstrual cup for a year and a half, but I still find that it often bothers me because of the vacuum that sucks in to my uterus and still regularly causes leakage despite me inserting it properly. Especially that pain was why I wanted to try a disc, and I am very satisfied. Insertion is a little tricky for me because you can't "stuff" it in like that, but when it's all the way in, it's great. I don't bother with a stalk, but the notch still makes it easy to take out (even with short fingers) if you tighten your pelvic floor. And I no longer have any leakage at all! Only downside compared to the cup is that the removal is a bit messier, but it's worth it in my opinion. I think it's definitely worth a try.

I wasn't so satisfied with the cup anymore. I was hoping the disc would be a godsend for me. I have been using it for 2 months now so maybe I am still a newbie, but I am not satisfied. Insertion is very easy! There is a notch on the front so taking it out should be easy too. With me, the disc rotates a bit, so most of the time I don't have any use for this. I have leakage and don't feel confident. Getting it out is a hassle. I'll watch it for a while but I don't think this is the disc for me.

I used to have a menstrual cup, but after two children, my cervix moved a lot lower and the cup kept leaking. This one works well though! Co-decided to buy this one courtesy of the Wirecutter, where the Saalt disc came out as the best in the test.
Takes some getting used to, but highly recommended!

Bought on the recommendation of a colleague. When it sits properly, I don't leak through, but still have some trouble getting it out (easily). It's not like with a cup that you pull it and it's out. Assume that this is just habituation and will soon be no problem at all... Am curious to see what it's like to have sks while the disc is in. For now, I definitely recommend it!
Fantastic product, I recommend it to everyone!

The first menstrual disc for me, I (25 year old female) have been using a menstrual cup for +- 7 years but because I have a low/tilted uterus I experience a lot of problems with it (leaking, pain etc). I never dared to switch to a disc but just gave it a try now. Have no fear: it really is much easier to insert than a cup! No fiddling with yes/no flipping open: you just push it as far as you can like a tampon actually. It was right on the first try. Felt nothing, no discomfort at all. The disc is much softer than the cup and it's also much smoother to insert and remove. The disc also captures much more blood than a cup so that's also a plus. And because the disc doesn't vacuum like a cup you can use the disc even if you have an IUD. With removal you may find that the disc has moved up a bit, if so push the disc down a bit with your muscles before pulling it out, that helps a lot! I have not experienced any leaks at all and I have always been able to change it mess-free so far. Truly a top-notch product! Just try it, it is really worth the money!!! And if you don't like cooking in a pan: you can also disinfect it in the microwave :) It really is very easy and it really makes your period so much easier! Do it, try it. In any case, I am completely convinced.
