Our Team
On this page, we gladly introduce the Nappy’s.nl team to you. At the moment, five people work at the headquarters of Nappy’s.nl on a weekly basis. From Packing hero to Head of Second Hand, from Back-end Professional to Customer Service Champion. They all come here! So that you have a face to go with the name on your thank you card, or with the name at the bottom of our email. We start with the I-am-almost-always-here heroes and end with the people who can never let go!
Nikkie - Packing hero and Project Manager
From Monday to Friday Nikkie is behind the packing table, packing the most beautiful packages. Nikkie studied Leisure & Events Management and is a champion in organizing sustainable events. She did part of her studies in South Africa, where she learned and enjoyed a lot. Since November 2021 she has been working at the always pleasant and sometimes hectic Nappy’s.nl. She is clearly not going to be fooled here and despite the often present noise from the children and a dog that is a bit too watchful, she is unperturbed and in a good mood packing packages. Nikkie, together with Iris and Cyrille, is responsible for customer service and is also involved in Search Engine Optimization (SEO). She ensures that the website is easy to find and remains available through the various search engines. In addition, Nikkie is our Project Manager she organizes our participation in trade fairs and plans spectacular events. Nikkis has always worn reusable diapers and her nephews also wore reusable diapers. Should she ever have children, they will also be put in the most beautiful reusable diapers. For now, Nikkie shares her home with her boyfriend and cat Nacho. Nacho loves chips! Nikkie’s favorite diapers are the Elskbar diapers, because they are sooooo beautiful!
Iris - Customer Service Hero and Head of Second Hand
Iris has been a consultant for Nappy’s.nl since 2018 and has three children. Iris studied Educational Sciences and can bake deliciously thanks to her pastry training, and we are grateful for that! Her eldest daughter was never in the reusable diapers as a baby, but she helped us a lot with fitting the larger sizes of diapers. Iris’s two younger sons wore and wear cloth diapers full-time. Her youngest son is still in diapers, so Iris can happily test with all the news what comes in. When Nappy’s.nl moved from Batenburg to Meppel, Iris joined the team in April 2019 full of enthusiasm. On Monday, Tuesday and Thursday she can in principle, be found behind the computer where she takes care of customer service. In addition, she is also regularly with her nose in the second-hand diapers. Iris is also head of the second-hand department. She checks the incoming products, takes pictures of them and ensures that they appear with a correct price on the second-hand section of the website. On Tuesdays and Thursdays she chats with beginners at the headquarters of Nappy’s.nl about the wonderful world of the reusable diaper. Her favorite diaper are the Seedling Baby Multi-Fit and Mama Koala pocket diapers for the day, and the Petit Lulu Maxi/Night for the night, with a Rumparooz cover.
Cyrille - Customer Service Hero and Head Testing Team
On Wednesdays and Fridays you will meet our great Cyrille! Whether you call, chat, email or send an Instagram message, Cyrille is your woman! Since March 2023, Cyrille has been our customer service star, together with Iris. Cyrille lives with her husband, baby son, dog, cats and rabbits and is just as crazy about animals (and reusable diapers) as we are. Her son is a real lucky boy and has been wearing the most beautiful reusable diapers since he was born. Cyrille is a real reusable diaper expert, with experience with both newborn diapers and One Size diapers. If we receive something new, Cyrille's son will be the lucky one to test it extensively! Cyrille is trained as a salesperson and legal assistant, knows a lot and can make telephone calls like the best. The perfect combination for a Nappy's.nl colleague! Thanks to her previous work experiences, this hero is an absolute pro in remaining calm and friendly, even when a difficult conversation has to be had. In her spare time she likes to read and play games, but Cyrille also enjoys sewing and embroidery. Her favorite brand is currently Kekoa, not only because they are super pretty, but also because of the nice fit and versatility of these diapers.
Marco - Chief Financial Officer and Chief Procurement Officer
Marco has worked full time for Nappy’s.nl since October 2019. He is a trained business economist and has worked as an equity analyst for many years. Together with Ilka, he has four children. As a partner of the woman who started a small web shop, he has been involved since the start. At first, it was only the evenings and weekends, but now he is over his head in cloth diapers. Marco is our Chief Financial Officer and Chief Procurement Officer. Also the Chief Garbage Officer by the way! He is doing the financial side of the business, the administration, purchases products and makes sure the garbage is out on time. Marco loves Elskbar diapers. His favorite newborn diaper is the Elskbar Newborn Dandelions.
Ilka - Chief Executive Officer and Nappy Nerd
Ilka took over Nappy’s.nl in 2015 from the former owners. Read more here about how it started. Ilka is trained as an Educational Scientist and has four children with Marco. Pure wealth! She took over the web shop, somewhat naive and amateurish. Fun project, on the side. Well, we all know what that led to. Ilka is Chief Executive Officer, although she shares that function with Marco these days. She is responsible for just about everything, is head of product knowledge, social media boss and content creator. You can find Ilka almost always behind her desk, where she writes texts and blogs for the website, whilst looking for interesting novelties. All whilst she is thinking about sleeping and coffee, that is! When necessary, she packs packages together with Marco. Ilka’s favorite diaper is by far the Lighthouse AIO diaper. The print doesn’t even matter, but that fit! Soooooo slim (but you shouldn’t have a frequent wetter!)
Our Consultants - Our Heroes near You
Apart from all these fantastic people who are spending hours and hours of their lives on Nappy’s.nl, we also have over 50 enthusiastic women all over The Netherlands and Belgium, who spread the love for cloth diapers for us. Our consultants are an extremely important part of our team. They help customers find their way in the cloth diaper jungle and will always try to find the most perfect diaper for a child and his or her parents. You can read all about the consultants here.
