This newborn cover by Petit Lulu has soft microfleece hems around the belly and legs. This prevents red marks. The cover is suitable for babies from 2 to 6 kg and closes with hook and loop (Velcro). The cover fits over foldable diapers or newborn fitted diapers, like the ones by Petit Lulu.
Material: 100% polyester with PUL
The cover can be washed at 60 degrees Celsius, and should be line dried.

Fine overpants with soft fleece edge, pricey though

Ordered three overpants with different prints. Used them with cotton diapers, which I think are a bit more bulky than the ones on the website. For my 3-kilo child they were still a bit too big (didn't quite fit nicely at the legs) but now that he is 4kilo they go fine! Sits a little high but that's not a big deal now that the belly button has dried up. No leaks because of the thicker fleece edge which is also very soft. Port a bit in the tummy and back because the edge is a bit inward (see top side of flaps in photo). Velcro works well. Personally, I would say that at 6 pounds the pants are already way too small because the velcro will rub along the skin when your baby is a little fuller or pees a lot and needs extra inserts, but I can't say for sure yet. Holds moisture well!
